It's a shame considering the game could have gotten away with this if there was a bit more fine-tuning towards the animations and controls. There's a lot of style to Wet, and the game can be easily recommended as it looks great.

Cities, action visuals, color palettes, and the homage to grindhouse films will drag in a specific player type. Plenty of people simply enjoy the journey without accounting for the fact that there's a game in the mix.

If you are approaching Wet as a game - it doesn't cut above the mark of average. Games like Devil May Cry 3 managed to deliver a better story, visuals, and stylish combat. The game begins with potential. It feels like Wet lacks the polish for a memorable action experience, though.
