80040e14 syntax error in update statement

How do I catch this error and print a more user friendly error message? I had developed a messageboard in asp which allows users to post new messages, reply to existing messages. I am using textarea Html tag for a messagebox in my asp page. When the user enters any characters in messagebox except a single quote ' ,the message gets inserted in oracle database without any problem. Is there any solution to insert messages containing single quotes in a database?

Execute strSQLStatement but I am getting an "Insert statement contains fewer items than the insert list" error , when in fact I am not both 6 field names. I have a query. When I write out the sql and run it directly in the access db. When running it using ado it doesn't work. I know I have run into this before but don't remember what the solution was. Works in access but when running it using connection.

I am making a masters page with delete, update , and insert fuctionality, i am using the insert. I need another pair of eyes. I have a default page which when you click on the edit text next to a particular record then the record should be opened in a new edit page. Could not find a valid XML file that refers to teh current server behaviour and the current server model. I want to do the same using access 97 or but getting the same errors as described above - what modifications are needed to the SQL statement to make this work or is there another way of doing this.

I have a form which when inserted is inserting aq single row in to the database and am using a uique autonumber field called customerid. I want a confirmatio page to be able to pull the most recently added record using the new record id as a vriable to query the database on the confirmation page. Has anybody got any thoughts on this? Help me please Is very Important for me Simone Berretti.

The error message can also be shown if the name of one or more fields in the database is a MS Jet reserved word or includes a reserved sign like '-', ie 'ID-person'. I use a redirect page that gives me the session NewID then go to the form page and have a hidden field for the NewID to insert into the database using the standard MX insert code.. Register Login.
