ATBS is a great place to work with awesome company culture and a 'work hard, play hard' mentality. The clientele can be a little rough around the edges, so that's something to be aware of. The owners and management are friendly and approachable. Management is always willing to listen if a problem arises and works with you to solve the problem.
It's a family-run business and it shows in everything that they do, they really care about their employees and their wellbeing. Pros Game room for employees, relaxed work environment, flexible work schedules, on-site gym, potential to work from home. Cons Benefits could be better but they're working to improve those.

Sounds great, then you discover you are not being paid what you are worth and you never get any praise for a job well done. Management is where the problems exist, especially in the Human Resources area.
Very poorly managed and not at all professional! I don't know of any accounting job one could have, where you go to the break room from 3 PM to 4 PM, and drink 24 ounces of beer, and then return to work an be productive.

This has been a part of our culture since our start up more than 20 years ago. We do limit the quantity of beer available for consumption and it is less than 24 ounces. We allow our employees to socialize over a beer, if they desire to do so, and expect responsible drinking. Leave a review. Help people like you. Hard-working employees are recognized with various rewards and compensation adjustments. Those employees who embrace hard work and dedication to clients are appreciated and rewarded by our management team and usually stay with ATBS as our average length of tenure is over 5 years. ATBS is a great place to learn and grow. Friendly faces and mostly good attitudes. What initially appealed to me was that it didn't feel like a call center.
But that changed over the years and is a rigorously monitored - all about the call volume - call center now. Which is concerning considering the account size of some of our tax and business reps.
Raises are slow to come by and often under the cost of living. Compared to other firms the payment rates are only mildly competitive. So employee retention always seemed to be an unaddressed issue. There is also the occasional case of nepotism. These clients will likely be the only time the job "comes home" with you. Free, limited, cheap beer if time permits in a small window.

Often terrible or shortage of leads to work and you are expected to make your quota of sales despite the number of leads. We were constantly forced to fight and prove ownership of our sales due to the same individual and practices that management refused to correct. The company itself offers a great service and had the potential to be an amazing company. If they were able to correct or resolve some of these issues, they would be unstoppable!
